How do I book?

You can book any of our holidays from our website by clicking on your preferred week on our Prices and Availability page.  This will direct you to a page with full details for that holiday and a booking form at the bottom of the page.  Alternatively, you can email us to make a booking or request a member of our team to call you back.

How do I pay?

Once we have received your booking reservation, we will send you a confirmation email with full instructions on when and how to pay.  When booking we require a 30% deposit to secure the reservation with the remaining balance due 12 weeks prior to arrival.  This can be paid by either bank transfer, using PayPal (occurs a 3% charge) or by cheque.  All cheques must be payable to ‘45 Degrees North’.  Deposits must be received by 45 Degrees North within 5 days of making the provisional booking.  For international guests we suggest using Transferwise.

What Bank Cards do you accept?

Using PayPal we can accept payment from all major debit & credit cards.  These include Visa, Delta, Electron, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro & American Express.  Debit cards (also known as bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.  However, using PayPal will incur a 3% charge.

Food & Wine:

What can we have for breakfast?

We offer cereal, fresh baguettes, fruit, yoghurts and one hot option (e.g. scrambled eggs, pancakes etc) every day.  Tea and coffee is available in the chalet all day.

Do you provide lunch?

No we do not provide lunch in the chalet but Morzine and the surrounding area has a huge amount of options that we can recommend to you from the basic to the gourmet.

Do the children eat with the adults?

Children’s meal time is generally at 5:30pm – 6pm with adults and older children eating at 8pm.  If children over 12 would like to join the adults they are welcome and if a group occupies the whole chalet you can choose when the children eat.

I have a dietary requirement, can you cater for me?

Yes, just let us know in advance and we will arrange for this.

Is there complimentary wine?

We carefully select quality red and white wine, which is available during dinner.  We also have a very affordable honesty bar for beer and wine before or after dinner.

When is the staff night off?

This is usually on Wednesday but occasionally Tuesday.  We would be happy to recommend a number of excellent restaurants in town for this night.

Can the chalet staff take us ski hosting?

Sadly ski hosting is no longer legal in France without a qualified guide.  This can be arranged for you with an instructor but it won’t be a member of the 45 Degrees North Team.

How do I get to Morzine?

Arriving by plane: With Geneva around 1 ¼ hours drive away it makes it the closest and easiest airport to us and is well connected by many major and budget airlines.  Return flights from the UK start at less than £60 return plus baggage fees.

Arriving by train: This can often be the most relaxing way to travel and if you take the overnight train you can get an extra day on the mountain for your efforts. Our nearest station is Cluses where get a taxt and get you to the chalet in 45 minutes, but a more affordable and easy option is to get the train to Geneva airport and get a transfer to the chalet from there. Train details can be found on the SNCF website and tickets go on sale 90 days before the date of travel.

Arriving by car: Morzine is around 875km from Calais and with the majority of this on motorways it should take around 8 hours. If you opt to drive out feel free to get in touch before or during your journey as this is a trip we’ve done many times before and we’d be happy to help.

Are airport transfers available?

We have teamed up with Ski-lifts who will whisk you from the airport to our chalet with a number of vehicle options to suit your budget. If you use this link you will receive a 10% discount on their already competitive prices. Please make sure you understand the terms and conditions when you book and don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or prefer to find your own way.

Do you offer discounted Ski & Snowboard Rental?

We are very lucky to have partnered up with Doorstep Skis for the 2015/16 season.  This handy company take all of the hassle out of ski hire by coming directly to the chalet. They offer a good range of quality skis which are constantly updated and have a variety of packages to choose from.  At the end of your stay, leave your skis at the chalet and they will come and collect them.  45 Degrees North customers are guaranteed a 20 – 35% discount when booking online.

We have also teamed up with Skiset Morzine.  Skiset is a well established company within France and have an expert team to fit both skis and snowboards.  They have two shops in town which we can take you to to hire your gear once you have arrived in Morzine.  They are offering a further 5% discount on top of their current online booking prices.

I have special dietary requirements.

Our chef can cater for all dietary requirements, although we do ask that you let us know in advance.

Do you cater for all ages?

Yes. We also offer discounts for young people.

Do you give discounts for children?

Yes, we offer a 20% discount for children under 12 & infants are free in a travel cot in their parents room.
