Rides into Switzerland
Our beautiful chalet base in Morzine provides the perfect opportunity to explore a huge range of Alpine roads, with rolling terrain, challenging climbs and a chance to ride into Switzerland. If you’re on one of our cycling and tri weeks we have a few route options depending on the group coming out:
- 85km round trip with approximately 2,500m climbing entering Switzerland at a mountain pass, with one or two French cols along the way. We’ll take you to the perfect place to grab a coffee, have a picnic by a lake and look down over the valley you’ve cycled up.
- Ride with us to the Montreux Jazz Festival, taking in a couple of cols along the way and riding up the Rhone valley – 85km with 1,900m climbing
- Top up your bottles at the famous water source in Evian. Take a relaxing dip in the clear waters of Lac Leman and ride along the edge of the lake into Switzerland. We can make this ride as hilly or relaxed as you like. There’s also a brewery by the lake too!
If you’re interested in special or bespoke weeks in a group please get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help. For instance we can arrange a trip to the UCI World Cycling Centre in Switzerland to ride their indoor velodrome and awesome BMX track.
As with all our rides there’s a support vehicle on the road with you and at least one lead rider, making sure that everyone on the road is happy. At 45 Degrees North we pride ourselves in our intimate knowledge of local roads, hidden cafes and alpine lakes.
Join us for a week and discover some of the secret gems of the mountains.
