Tour de France 2017
Join us for an epic week Saturday 8th and 15th July 2017 and we’ll take you to see one of the greatest cycling races in the world. Ride some of the stage on closed roads, while the crowds gather on the climbs and hairpin bends, ready for the professionals to roar through. Rarely do the climbs in the Alps and Pyrenees average close to 10% for the entire climb, yet stage 9 of the Tour de France will see riders compete up the toughest side of the Col du Grand Colombier, with gradients of up to 22% then onto what the pundits are calling the hardest climb in France, the Mont du Chat!
|Sat 8th||Sat 15th Jul||£595||Tour de France Week||Enquire||Mixed ability, fully supported|
We’ll get you into the thick of the action on the last climb of the stage, the Mont du Chat. While the professionals race across 181km from Nantua to Chambery, we’ll be waiting with a picnic and a cold glass of something in hand, soaking up the atmosphere, scrabbling for freebies when the caravan comes through and cheering on our favourite bike riders.
As the pros ride on to the next stages we’ll take you to a selection of some of the best Tour mountain passes, including the Col de Joux Plane and Col de la Ramaz as well as a few hidden gems of the mountains, some fantastic flatter scenic routes with amazing ice cream and tucked away cafes. Expect a few picnics in the mountains and relaxing afternoons watching the Tour de France in one of the local bars or in our snug lounge.
With a chef, sports massage and a hot tub thrown in for good measure, you’re guaranteed a challenging, relaxing week in a luxury but friendly chalet in the mountains. Enquire about this special Tour de France week or get in touch with us directly at email@example.com
