Experience the mountains this summer – open to all abilities
Find out why west London coach Holly is coming back for her 4th year…
Whether you’re new to cycling and triathlon or have been riding and racing for years, our expert coaches, guide riders and support vehicle will ensure that you’re riding at a pace you’re happy with. We’ll carry your extra layers, bottles and homemade flapjacks to help you get the most from your week in the mountains, whatever age you are.
Last year we hired an electric mountain bike for one of our more senior riders. This meant that they could experience all the climbs and views, while overtaking a few people!Stay in our spacious chalet that sleeps 12 comfortably, with mountain views from each balcony, secure bike storage and workshop. We even have a mechanic to help keep your bike running smoothly! We also provide all meals for 6 days of the week, a complimentary sports massage, cycling coaching (special weeks) and video feedback using our alpine lake and running trails. Just get in touch with coach Chris or Mike if you’d like to know more.
Not sure if you’re fit enough to ride in the mountains?
We interviewed a few guests from last summer about their experience in the French Alps with us, what got them into cycling and how they found the riding in terms of difficulty:
How did you get into cycling and what do you like about it?
“…What I love about cycling is the sentiment of freedom, that you can go anywhere at anytime with only the power of your legs. You get to access places that no one does…” Read more from Sophie, Dulwich Paragon – cycling club in south London
How did you find cycling in the French Alps in terms of difficulty?
“Not too difficult – well, it’s not as easy as cruising along a gentle flat, granted, but I really enjoy the challenge of a target like reaching the top of an Alp….” read more from Caroline, Ful-on Tri – triathlon club in west London.
How likely would you be to recommend 45 Degrees North to others and why?
“I have recommended 45 Degrees North to friends and clubmates and will continue to do so. The friendliness of the team and the level of support is fantastic, as well as your ability to cope with riders of very different abilities. It is also terrific value for money compared with alternatives.” Read more from John, Walcott CC – cycling club near Bath.
